This Halloween, horrify your family, friends and trick-or-treating guests with this Red Velvet Zombie Brain Cake.

YouTube personality and author of "Nerdy Nummies" cookbook Rosanna Pansino shows step by step how to create a gruesome-looking treat that will impress the hungriest of zombies. The video, which posted Tuesday, already has over a million views.

While red velvet cakes are nothing new, Pansino transforms the boring cake mold with a cool trick that uses marshmallow fondant.

She rolls the fondant into ropes to mold on the outside of the cake making it look remarkably like a human brain.

After painting the fondant with an edible fake-blood topping made from raspberry jam and red gel food coloring, the end result looks rather disgusting.
