The Netherlands – In the picturesque town of Venlo, on the banks of the Meuse River in the Netherlands, the annual free Zomerparkfeest is more than just a festival; it's an immersive experience where music, art and culture come together. This year, the Zomerparkfeest unveiled its enchanting stages, brought to life by an impressive array of lighting products from Infinity, Showtec, DMT and Showgear, courtesy of Demo Productions from Ulestraten, the Netherlands.
As the festival’s main stage blasted off, Demo Productions bathed it in a mesmerising glow, thanks to a dazzling array of lighting products. Headliners such as Altin Gün, Peaches and Rowwen Hèze took to the stage beneath the spellbinding illumination. Piercing beams of light from 14 Infinity iB-2R moving heads were accompanied by 15 Showtec Stage Blinder 4 DMX and 48 Showtec DWE Audience Blinders. To set the mood, eight Showtec Helix S5000 Q4 washers provided vibrant and saturated colours. A total of 12 m² of LED screens were used throughout the main stage area, consisting of DMT Premiere Series 3.9-G2 Outdoor pixel screens, which were bright enough to provide clear visuals even in bright daytime sunlight. These were controlled by two Novastar VX4S video processors. Two Showgear SF-150 axial-flow touring fans produced stage winds that would make even Hans Klok jealous. Novastar Led Wall Processor
The Theatro stage was also run by Demo Productions, who used eight Infinity iW-1915 Pixel RGBW wash moving heads with zoom and pixel control to spice things up. The Showtec Mistique CO₂ hazer provided the necessary fog to make the light effects pop, and a Showgear SF-150 fan provided high speed wind when needed. A DMT D1 Mini Video Switcher was used to quickly switch between video sources.
The Zomerparkfeest 2023 attracted around 85.000 visitors over four days, making it a summer highlight for the city. Take a look at the photos to get an impression of the lights and the event.
